Top Caching Tips!
Top Tip #1 - Bring a Friend
Try to avoid going caching alone; as with all outdoor activities, there is a chance you might fall and injure yourself, making it difficult to seek help by yourself. Besides, it's more fun to have company on your journey's as it gives you a friend to chat to and help when finding the caches!
If for some reason you can't find a buddy, be sure to bring a mobile phone and a whistle to ensure you will be safe on your adventure! |
Top Tip #3 - Extra SwagAlways carry extra toys and goodies with you to replenish empty caches or trade with other swag! This way it makes the other cachers after you have a more enjoyable visit, especially for caching families and newbie cachers, and it's a good way to give back to the geocaching community.

Top Tip #6 - Log your DNFs!
Can't find the cache you've spend hours searching for? Let the cache owner know by logging a DNF! There's nothing to be ashamed of for not finding the cache - the cache could simply be missing, moved or harder than the cache owner anticipated. You are in fact doing a favour for the cache owner and the geocaching communnity, as your DNF notice will encourage the CO to check up on the cache to see if everything's okay.

Top Tip #7 - Don't just write TFTC!
Show your appreciation to the cache owner by writing detailed logs of your visit to the cache, try and avoid just writing TFTC! As a cache owner it's great fun to read logs from people who took the time to show how mucuh they enjoyed the cache, and it will encourage the cacher to hide more caches.
